:2 “In My Father’s house are many staying places. And if not, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. (John 14:2, TS98)
:2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. (John 14:2, KJV)
There is a difference quality wise between Mansions verses “staying places”. A gutter is a houseless drunk’s home and can be considered a “staying place”, could it not?
:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. (James 2:19, KJV):20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? (James 2:20, KJV)
Now the comparison with the TS98
:19 You believe that Elohim is one. You do well. The demons also believe – and shudder! 20 But do you wish to know, O foolish man, that the belief without the works is dead? (James 2:19-20, TS98)
There is a problem with this TS98 they are using the same word where it does not even make sense. The Word “Faith” is missing. Come on. Get real here. These TS98’s wanted to copyright and make money selling a “substantially different” translation. The only way they could do that is by making changes.
