CONGRESS DECLARES BIBLE
“THE WORD OF GOD”
PUBLIC LAW 97-280–OCT.4, 1982
Public Law 97-280 96 STAT. 1211
Joint Resolution Authorizing and requesting the President to proclaim 1983 as the “Year of the Bible”.
Whereas the Bible, the Word of God, has made a unique contribution in shaping the United States as a distinctive and blessed nation and people;
Whereas deeply held religious convictions springing from the Holy Scriptures led to the early settlement of our Nation;
Whereas Biblical teachings inspired concepts of civil government that are contained in our Declaration of Independence and the Constitution of the United States;
Whereas many of our great national leaders–among them Presidents Washington, Jackson, Lincoln, and Wilson–paid tribute to the surpassing influence of the Bible in our country’s development, as in the words of President Jackson that the Bible is “the rock on which our Republic rests”;
Whereas the history of our Nation clearly illustrates the value of voluntarily applying the teachings of the scriptures in the lives of individuals, families, and societies;
Whereas this Nation now faces great challenges that will test this Nation as it has never been tested before; and
Whereas that renewing our knowledge of and faith in God through Holy Scripture can strengthen us as a nation and a people:
Now, therefore, be it Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the President is authorized and requested to designate 1983 as a national “Year of the Bible” in recognition of both the formative influence the Bible has been for our Nation, and our national need to study and apply the teachings of the Holy Scriptures.

This issue is critical for people sincerely desiring to obey God and keep his commandments. Congress, the god of the U S A has declared that the true GOD, the true YHWH is the High God! Just like King Nebuchadnezzar in the book of Daniel declaring and king Darius in the book of Daniel when king Darius declared in chapter 6:
Daniel 6: 25 to 28
Then king Darius wrote unto all people, nations, and languages, that dwell in all the earth; Peace be multiplied unto you. I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and fear before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end. He delivereth and rescueth, and he worketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions. So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius, and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian.
and then in another place it is written:
Even the king of Babylon at one point acknowledged the Sovereignty of Almighty God YHWH and to keep this short Chapter 5 verse 21 states:
And he was driven from the sons of men; and his heart was made like the beasts, and his dwelling was with the wild asses: they fed him with grass like oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven; til ;he knew that the most h ight God ruled int he kingdom of men, and that he appointeth over it whosoever he will.
And Again King Nebuchadnezzar acknowledged the Sovereignty of the KING of KINGS, Almighty YHWH, in Chapter 3 verse 28 after the three men, obedient to Almighty YHWH refused to bow to an idol and walked out of a flaming furnace unharmed and untouched stated:
“Then Nebuchadnezzar spake , and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the kings’s word, and yielded their bodies, that htey might not serve not worship any god, except their own God. There I make a decree, That every p eople, nation , and language, which speak nay things amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut6 in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort. Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, in the province of Babylon.”
And Again in Chapter 4 Nebuchadnezzar acknowledges Almighty God
Daniel 4:1 to 3
Nebuchadnezzar the king, unto all people, nations, and languages, that dwell in tall the earth: peace be multiplied unto you. I thought it good to shew the signs and wonders, that the high God hath wrought toward me. How great are his signs! and how mighty are his wonders! his kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and his dominion is from generation to generation.
In summary, there is a long history of Rulers, Kings and Congress acknowledging the Supreme Sovereignty of Almighty God, YHWH, the King of Kings, the LORD of LORDS, the Ultimate Power beyond all powers. And the united states Congress has admitted, too.
Congress is telling you to obey God and keep his commandments, and God is telling you the same thing. Is that enough authority to obey God and keep his Commandments? You decide, Dear Reader.
Some additional information:
1st Amendment Religious free excercise clause
Seeger Vs US (360 U S 136) which defines how the first Amendment is to be understood and how the courts understand religious free excercise. To stand up in court in defense there are 5 main issues that must be right.
1. A truely and sincerly held religious belief
2. with a duty to God
3. An individual’s belief with a duty to God
4. The duty to a supreme God that the individual obey God and keep his commandments truely and sincerely held.
5. And go to Scripture and prove it line by line, precept by precept and show it and live it and obey it.
Public Law 97-280 Then converted to Statute 96-1211 (permanent until repealed or Congress no longer believes that the Scripture is the Word of God). (If they ever do that, they are messing with the one True God).
Civil rights Act of 1964 prohibiting the discrimination of people practicing their truly and sincerely held religious beliefs.
So a man choosing to obey God and keep his commandments has the Right (note, this is not a privilege) to live the Word of God in all aspects of his life. . You have to live the W
